In 1969 Toronto came alive with a week of festivities that painted the city with the colours and sounds of its rich cultural makeup. The Caravan cultural festival captured the attention of the world and went on for 34 years, breaking down cultural barriers in the city, allowing cross-cultural communication to flourish, and embracing the self identity of the city’s residents. The following design thesis project pays tribute to this iconic festival, involving extensive research which cumulated in two deliverables and a process book documenting my design journey.
EXHIBIT & INFO BOOTH
The following information booth was created to aid the Caravan Festival by providing a centralized space for visitors to purchase merchandise and tickets and serving as a workspace for the various volunteers and organizers of the festival.
PROCESS AND THINGS
The following are personal sketchbooks and concepts taken from “CARAVAN — The Process Book”, which documents the research and creative exploration to produce the final creative outcome.
